Shape Arts is a disability-led arts organisation which works to improve access to culture for disabled people by providing opportunities for disabled artists, training cultural institutions to be more open to disabled people, and through running participatory arts and development programmes. Their website contains a host of resources which, although predominantly targeted at the visual arts world, but can be easily translated to theatre. These include ‘top tips’ on working with learning disabled people, organising meetings and interviews, and a useful explanation of the Social Model of Disability.
